Welcome to Tom Harbin Reptiles!

What you will see here reflects one of the great passions in my life, reptiles.  Like most around here, I brought my first snake home when I was 6 years old, back in 1958. My Mom never told me not to bring another one home, so I didn't stop.    For some reason, I thought I might outgrow the desire to keep reptiles.  But as you see, I have not.  The snakes are great and wonderful, but more important for me, I have made some of my greatest friends by connecting with so many good people associated with our great hobby/business.  Things have changed a lot since I began catching snakes to being fortunate enough to acquire some great snakes over the years.   As a veterinarian, I not only get to enjoy my snakes, I get to help others learn how to provide the kind of care their reptiles need.  These pages will show you my collection and also a selection of animals for sale.  I am usually at the Dixie Reptile show every month, also in Daytona and Tinley every year.  Have a look around these pages, you may even find some surprises such as the link to Celebrate Recovery, a healing ministry I'm a part of.

Thanks for looking; hope I can be of help.

Christmas news ~ December 22nd, 2011

It's hard to believe it's near Christmas, but here it is. Thanks to all who have helped me have a good year. I'm looking forward to some great new projects for me; several firsts. I bought heavy into the Toffee project and should be able to produce some Toffee's and Toffino's this year, maybe even some combos like Spider Toffino's. It's possible to have Crider caramels and even a few Spider Crider caramels. I'm looking for Crystals, Super Crystals, lots of ghost morphs, Killer Clowns, Pastel Clowns, and of course clowns. Did I mention Dreamsicles, Pastel superstripes, Platinums, Leopard Pieds and something I have wanted to produce along and have missed it is Hypo Pins. Already have over 20 females with their first breeding as of today! Something else I'm very proud of is I purchased a Ultrasound unit to use at home with the snakes. It is really helping to see which females haven't begun to move and which ones are promising. I hope to get to meet more of you in the coming year. Merry Christmas! Tom

Welcome to 2011 ~ July 20th, 2011

This is a bit late, but there are lots of new hatchlings posted here. Please have a look. I have produced a few things that are not here too, but they will be staying with me such as: A male super mystic, a female pin crystal, 2 female bumblebellies, a female Queenbee yellowbelly. Still several clutches in the incubator, so check back. Also, Justin Kobylka was kind enough to do a Morph 101 with a special clutch of mine this year. Have a look on Youtube at this location: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJWgcG-9nls

Thanks for all your support! tom

Deserts have hatched ~ July 22nd, 2010

My first Desert Bee is here, by the way, she is! Have a look at her and tell me what you think! Also several other deserts for sale.

National Breeders Expo ~ July 7th, 2010

I will again be set up at the Daytona show. I look forward to this every year, a great chance to be with a lot of you, sell a few snakes and buy a few. I will be at tables 365 and 366. Please stop by; I look forward to seeing you!

What's happening in 2010? ~ March 24th, 2010

July 4, 2010 - My first clutch hatched on Independence day. Will be one of my highlight clutches of the year. It was from my spider x desert cross. 5 eggs; results: 1.1 deserts, 0.1 desert spider, 0.1 normal and 0.1 spider. Since the Desert Spider was a female, I'll probably sell her and try for a male next year. Pics to follow shortly. I should have lots of babies coming in the next few weeks. Please watch my available page.

Lots of breeding and ovulation activity as of March 25, 2010. I'm looking forward to some firsts for me this year including: Desert combos with Spider, Fire and Pinstripe. I hope to have more Pastel clowns. I hope to have my first Mystic Potion, my first Superstripes, my first Pinstripe super pastels, and Hypo Lesser/Mojo babies. There's lots more coming, so 2010 should be a big and fun year! Visit often, and I'll keep what's new current here.

Be sure and have a look at what's available.

Thanks to all my patrons who have made this collection possible. Be sure and look for a pic of my grandson here!
